I am always on the fence with products that are on the shelf today that proclaim they're natural, multigrain or even when its says they are baked. Because food marketers distract us with misleading claims on the front of the package and often use terminology that makes the product sound better than it really is. Reading ingredient labels is one of the most important tasks to do if buying a product from the shelf.
Do you spend time looking at labels at the grocery store deciding whether or not to buy it? You will gain some insight from watching this video from 100 days of Real Food by Lisa Leak. She walks you through eight real life packaged food examples and explains how to decipher each of their ingredient labels. I hope this helps you as it did for me. Happy Shopping for real food if it's from the shelf!
